The hardest part of any Sandals or Beaches vacation is trying to figure out which slice of paradise to enjoy. Each of the resorts has its own unique personality, so we are going to feature each resort and highlight some of the best features.
This resort is the closest to the Montego Bay airport which means it is also the quickest to the beach! It is the first Sandals Resort, but do not think for a moment that means it is outdated. The resort has been renovated to an open air concept and has seen some of the biggest updates. One of the the element we enjoy is the open air lobby. Upon entering you can see past the lobby, the newly updated bar, the outdoor seating right to the pristine Caribbean beach and water.
Sandals Montego Bay is known for the high energy entertainment and luxury accommodations. The renovations over the past few years have removed any trace of the old style of 4-post wood bed, simplistic
bathrooms, and dark color palettes. In keeping with the modern trends those have been replaced with open floor concepts, big bright bathrooms, and vibrant colors. Some room categories even include luxury soaking tubs on the room decks. Don't worry, there are curtains if you need the visual privacy while using it. This is a great spot to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and unwind at the end of the night. Also, there are swim up butler rooms as well to bring your vacation's luxury level even higher.
During the day you have access to ALL the land and watersports available on the resort, remember, when Sandals says they are All-Inclusive, they mean it. This means the hobie cats, paddle boards, snorkel, SCUBA, Aquatrikes, kayaks, Fitness centers, and many more.
If it is on resort, it is included! This a huge benefit of the Sandals vacation, once you arrive you can put the wallet in the safe and not touch it again until you leave.
Everyone needs to eat, but most Caribbean resorts offer a steak and Seafood restaurant on property. Named after the late founder of Sandals Resorts, this dining experience is everything he expected from his luxury resorts. It features hand cut grain-fed Midwestern beef together with the finest fish and seafood. Our personal
favorite on the menu is the Chef's Surf & Turf which features Grilled Filet Mignon, Shrimp Scampi, and a garlic herb butter all prepared by a Sandals Resort world renowned chef on order. This is a wonderful experience that you won't soon forget, don't forget the 6 varieties of Robert Mondavi wine that is included across the entire resort.
